About Sam “The Cooking Guy”

San Diego-based Sam “The Cooking Guy” Zien left a career in biotech and became the everyman of cooking by combining an irreverent mix of humor with recipes that are ‘big in taste but small in effort’. With his show in 24 markets, 3 cookbooks, 15 Emmys, and a dozen visits to the Today Show, Zien’s ‘anyone can make this’ style continues to win fans. And Sam’s casually uncensored web series, STCGO manages to entertain and teach at the same time.

Just as Sam has invited viewers into his home where he has filmed "Sam the Cooking Guy " for 17 years, he now has Graze where guests are invited to come experience his delicious nonsense in real life.

Inspired by his world travels and “everyman” approach to cooking, the menu offers an eclectic mix of shareables with that added flare of creativity (and deliciousness) that Sam has become widely known for.

True to his personality, Graze extends beyond just food and beverage through engagement and activations, whether it be a wine tasting or live cooking demonstration.

Graze in Little Italy

As an extension of the beloved Little Italy Food Hall, Graze is an eatery, bar, and bottle shop located across from the original Little Italy Food Hall at the Piazza della Famiglia. Adjacent to the 10,000 square foot open air piazza, the Little Italy Food Hall has seven unique food stations, a mobile outdoor chefs’ area featuring pop-up cooking demonstrations, a full bar program complete with local beers and craft cocktails - and now Graze, bringing to it a second full bar, a bottle shop, lounge area, and eclectic menu.
